As guests of Mackay Bar Ranch, we’ll whisk you via jet boat to our beautiful and remote Salmon River beach front location 27 miles upriver from the Vinegar Creek boat ramp (near Riggins Idaho).
This Memorial Day Weekend event offers the perfect opportunity to escape to a world of stunning scenery, wildlife sightings, luxury accommodations, delicious home cooked meals and the historical lodges and legacies tours of historical homesteads harkening back to gold rush times at the turn of the century.

What does the Salmon River Lodges and Legacies Jet Boat Tour entail?
Our special event (happens only once a year) is sure to please the history buffs! You’ll enjoy a tour of the Salmon River from Vinegar Creek to Campbells Ferry as well as stops at the homestead of Polly Bemis, Buckskin Bills Museum, Painter Mine, Reho Wolfes, China Bar, Jim Moores Place, Campbells Ferry and Mackay Bar.
Our packages include the jet boat and guide, 2 nights lodging and our wonderful home cooked meals.
